About the performance 2470 Pas Vers...

 

This performance is linked to mourning. It is dedicated to the dear person whose death motivated the artist's partner's to do his project : he decided to devote a year and a half of his life to an itinerant march.

This artwork is dedicated to them.

 

On a given route, Delphine Richer marks a small black line on her body for each one of her steps.

 

At the end of the itinerary, the artist crosses out the lines that cover her skin by 7. The vertical lines that marked Delphine's walk turn into graphic scars.

 

Then she counts her steps.

Like a quest whose object would be its own process, the performance leads to its title: “2470 steps to…”
