À propos de l'installation Shadows’ Materialty
Mon intention est ici de créer un environnement dans lequel le visiteur ne peut pas bouger sans être attentif à ses mouvements.
Dans cette proposition, le dispositif influence les mouvements et la trajectoire du visiteur qui à son tour peut se saisir de l’installation et intervenir : graphiquement (en dessinant à l'aide du charbon ou en dispersant la matière), chorégraphiquement...
C'est une expérimentation en 3 dimensions de ma réflexion sur la prise de liberté par la prise de contrôle consciente de ses actions.
Le titre Shadows' Materiality (la matérialité des ombres) se réfère aux conséquences des choses que l'on imagine sans conséquence.
About the installation Shadows’ Materialty
My intention with this art installation is to create an environment in which we can not move without being aware of our movements, hense it also allows the possibility of acting/performing. Because in this work, motions have consequences either on the movements of the viewer, or on the device itself – the visitors can modify the installation by walking on coal. This result in either draw on the floor with the carbon or disperse the material.
It’s an experiment presented in 3 dimensions.
The project is also an experiment related to my central idea/concern on human behavior when one playing his own role and feeling free by taking conscious control of his actions.
The title Shadows' Materiality refers to the consequences of something what we think that it would not have any consequence.
关于装置 阴影的材料
阴影的材料 (Shadows’ Materiality) 是法国艺术家风铃岭（Delphine Richer）在器•Haus空间驻留期间所实施的第二项个人项目，也是她在重庆期间的驻留个展。在本项目中，艺术家以白盒子作为作品开始的地方——在展厅里用白绳勾勒出三角形的结构边框，与之对应的则是铺陈在地面的黑色煤灰，空的空间与具体化的空间“阴影”形成了强烈的暗示，这可以被看成为是对话的起点。“我做这件装置的意图，是创造一个人们必须小心注意到自己的动作才可以在其中移动的环境，因此，它允许人们在其中存在着’扮演/表 演’的可能性。在这件作品中，观众的运动会作用和回应着的观众自身，或作用于这件装置——被跨过或走过的铺在地面的煤灰，会多出一些痕迹或者模糊某些形状，从而改变整个装置的构成。”在进一步的描述中，艺术家强调本次展览就是一次“关于三维的实验”，“此实验涉及到个人何如在扮演他的角色和通过有意识的控制自己的行为来获得自由的感受，这也是我最主要的创作方向／关注点。Shadows’ Materiality 作为标题，就是再次指出“我们认为不会有任何结果的结果！”
